The Dinerstein Companies (TDC) engaged Cox and Dinkins to provide surveying and design services for this multi-family development. Utilizing our previous experience, we served as a liaison between the City of Columbia staff and their development team while also assisting in public outreach efforts to garner community support for this development.
This is a five-story, 278-unit, apartment-style living complex located in the heart of downtown Columbia, between the Greek Village and Waverly Mills neighborhood. This location provides residents with direct access to the university and to the shopping and dining districts downtown. The building includes a fitness center, two outdoor courtyards, a pool amenity area, 546 covered, garage parking spaces with electrical charging stations, and a pedestrian corridor along Catawba and Lincoln Streets.
Urban re-development efforts, like this project, often present unique challenges that must be addressed during the design phase. On this project, our engineering team provided a design that mitigated impacts to an adjacent waterway while allowing for an expansive development on a small site.
Cox and Dinkins provided civil engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, and public outreach services to help TDC bring quality living and commercial spaces to Columbia.
