CANAL FRONT COBLE PLAZA
Cox and Dinkins, Inc. was the Civil Engineering and Surveying consultant for this unique and complicated project that spanned over a 7 year period. The project was constructed in two phases. First phase was the Canal Front Terrace Building which was an expansion of the Edventure Museum building to house meeting space and office space. The second phase was a modern and beautiful plaza area, promenade and pedestrian walkway that serves as an extension of the river walk along the Congaree River. Part of the project entailed the stabilization of the eroding bank of the Congaree to support a wooden walkway that runs under the historic Gervais Street Bridge.
