Starship 11000 Renovation and Relocatables
This project located on Ft. Jackson in Columbia, SC was done for US Army Corps of Engineers Savannah District. The project involved building a temporary site for the relocation of soldiers to prepare for the renovation of the existing Starship 11000 Barracks and Company Operations. The 16.5 acres temporary site included the following buildings:
- •130,000 sf of Barracks spaces in 10 Buildings of 120 persons each.
- •18,000 sf of Class Room spaces in 4 Buildings of 120 persons each.
- •22,500 sf of Administrative spaces in 5 Buildings.
- •6,300 sf of Battalion Headquarter spaces in 1 Building.
- •22,500 sf of Dining Facility in 1 Building
- •7,500 sf of Covered Training Area in 5 Structures
- •800 sf of Arm Vault in 5 Structures
The scope of work for the swing space temporary facilities included design of water, sanitary sewer, grading and erosion control, storm drainage, pavement markings, traffic control signage, sidewalks, and grassing of disturbed areas. All submittals, technical narratives and presentation drawings were provided to and approved by the Army Corps of Engineers.
