Cox and Dinkins received the Carolina Recycling Association's Green Building Project of the Year for 2009. The selection criteria for this award is based upon:

  • Professional Leadership
  • Commitment to environmentally responsible/sustainable building practices
  • A specific building project that reflects environmentally responsible building practices
  • Educational component
  • Effective user of collaborative process, if applicable

This award honors Cox and Dinkins as a program that has engaged in a significant green building project, which was the construction of the first commerical LEED certified office building in the State of South Carolina.
